pseu-do– a prefix added to the start of a word indicating that “false”, “pretended”, or “imitating” modifies the word. not genuine; sham.

pre-ten-tious – attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etcetera, than is actually possessed.

an-ti-so-cial – unwilling or unable to associate in a normal or friendly way with other people.

so-cial but-ter-fly – a very sociable person who flits from one social event to another; likened to a butterfly flitting between flowers.

ox-y-mo-ron – a figure of speech in which apparently incongruous or contradictory terms appear side by side.

dead-pan – a form of comic delivery in which humor is presented without a change in emotion or body language. a blank, expressionless face.

heh – an indication of sly amusement.
